Dental Implants vs. Dentures: Which Is the Better Long-Term Choice?
Missing teeth can affect more than your smile; they can impact your confidence, speech, eating habits, and long-term oral health. This guide...

Professional cleanings and comprehensive exams are the foundation of your oral health. We make every visit comfortable, thorough, and focused on prevention.
A standard cleaning and exam at Elevated Smiles Dentistry covers everything your teeth and gums need at one visit.
Our hygienist uses specialized instruments to remove plaque and hardened tartar from the surfaces of your teeth and along the gumline. Your teeth are then polished to remove surface stains. Most patients notice immediately how much cleaner and smoother their teeth feel after a professional cleaning.
Dr. Englander examines every tooth for signs of decay, damage, or unusual wear. He evaluates your gum health, checks your bite, and examines all the soft tissues of your mouth including your cheeks, tongue, and lips. Any concerns are discussed with you directly, along with your options for addressing them.
As part of every comprehensive exam, Dr. Englander checks for any unusual changes in the oral tissues that could be early indicators of oral cancer. The screening is brief, comfortable, and included in the cost of your exam. Early detection makes a significant difference in outcomes.
When X-rays are needed, we use digital imaging that produces detailed, high-resolution images with far less radiation than traditional film X-rays. Dr. Englander reviews the images with you on-screen so you can see exactly what he sees and understand any findings in real time.

Healthy Smiles
Stop problems before they start
Even with great brushing and flossing habits at home, plaque and tartar build up in areas your toothbrush cannot reach. Over time, that buildup causes cavities and gum disease. A professional cleaning removes it completely and gives your teeth a fresh start. The exam that follows lets Dr. Englander catch any developing issues before they require more involved treatment. Coming in regularly is simply the most effective and affordable way to protect your oral health over the long term.
Every six months is the standard recommendation for most adults and children. If you have a history of gum disease, are prone to cavities, or have other specific risk factors, Dr. Englander may recommend more frequent visits, typically every three to four months. If your oral health is in excellent shape and your history is low-risk, annual cleanings may be appropriate. We make a specific recommendation based on your situation at every visit.
