During dental school, he received the Dean’s Research Award for his work in idiopathic pain disorders and was honored with the Oral Medicine Award from the American Academy of Oral Medicine. His advanced training includes a Fellowship in Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology and a General Practice Residency at the Perry Point VA Medical Center, where he deepened his knowledge in complex dental care, with personal one-on-one training with general dentists, endodontist, oral surgeon, oral medicine and pathology specialists, periodontist and a prosthodontist.
